Because we have found the Hidden Treasure of Jesus Christ.  We are called to make His Name known to a broken and hurting world and share the Gospel message of hope.  We are invited to participate in the work of the Holy Spirit by ministering to the poor and most vulnerable.

Jesus is a living example of God's love within us and we are called to be a living example of Jesus' love to others. Join us as we walk alongside young men and women in their search for hope, peace and dignity.

 

Mission: To share the message of hope found in Jesus and show God’s love, goodness and mercy to youth facing challenges due to homelessness and lack of family support. 

• To minister to their physical needs by providing clothing, shoes, hygiene products, and other necessities.

• To nurture their spiritual needs and plant “seeds” of faith through devotionals, prayers, retreat and mentoring experiences, and 

• To foster a connection with a mentor and local church communities.

• To offer opportunities for volunteers to join in God’s plan and reflect His love and compassion for the lost and hurting. To invite volunteers to connect with each other in faith and fellowship. 

 

Our Roots:  In 2002, Founder & President, Maria LoRe Dioguardi, and a group of Christ-centered women began supporting and providing basic hygiene products, clothing and shoes to young women living in a group home in Brooklyn, NY. As they visited the home and connected with the youth and staff they discovered opportunities for prayer…

they really cared for these young residents and exemplified God's love through fellowship and prayer.  

 

They would dedicate their time at the group homes doing craft activities, setting up a boutique where the residents could "shop" for clothing and shoes. 

prayer with the residents and staff. Every year, they would also bring the joy of Christmas and love of God to the homes by providing a Nativity scene and a Christmas present for each resident. They also worked side by side with the young residents in transforming the shared living spaces into a home reflecting all the warmth, Hope, and joy of Christmas. What started out as the “Deck the Halls” project to one group home has now expanded to 6 group homes located in Brooklyn and Queens. 

 

With a wide vision and desire to reach those in need, Hidden Treasure...Made Known was formed in June 2020. It was God’s perfect timing that Hidden Treasure...Made Known came to fruition during the pandemic. In times of uncertainty, isolation, and anxiety, it was even that much more important to show God’s love and care to these individuals. The core of our efforts is to connect you with activities we are involved in.  Through all of our endeavors, we hope to display the conviction behind our faith and beliefs.
